Physicochemical Properties: Appearance is light yellow crystalline powder, soluble in strong polar solvents such as dimethylformamide, dimethylacetamide, dimethyl sulfoxide, partially soluble in acetone, dichloroethane, cresol, etc.; capable of addition copolymerization with various nucleophilic reagents such as amines, phenols, hydrogen sulfide, and thiols; can also copolymerize and blend with several compounds simultaneously for modification.
Usage Characteristics: This product imparts outstanding mechanical properties, high electrical insulation, wear resistance, aging resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, radiation resistance, low volatility in high vacuum, excellent adhesion, moisture and heat resistance, and self-lubrication without oil to materials under both high and low temperatures (-200℃ to 260℃). It serves as a modifier for various polymer materials and new rubbers, as well as a coupling agent and curing agent for other polymer compounds. It exhibits good compatibility with various fillers and excellent wetting, adhesion, and coverage with various fibers. In special polymer materials, it is easy to process and form, suitable for molding, laminating, injection molding, and impregnation, especially for thick, non-porous insulating components.
Application Fields: Over the years, Bismaleimide (BMI) has been increasingly widely used as an ideal resin matrix for manufacturing heat-resistant structural materials and Class H or F electrical insulation materials in industries such as aviation, aerospace, power, electronics, computers, communications, locomotive railways, and construction. Main applications include:
1. Motor insulation materials: High-temperature impregnating varnishes (solvent-based and solvent-free), enameled wire varnishes, laminated boards, non-woven tapes, mica tapes, electronic copper-clad laminates, molded plastics, epoxy-modified Class F~H powder coatings, castings, etc.;
2. Advanced composite matrix resins: Aerospace structural materials, carbon fiber high-temperature structural components, high-end printed circuit boards, and other functional materials;

3. Engineering plastics: Reinforcing modifier, crosslinking agent for materials such as polypropylene (PP), nylon (PA), ABS, APC, etc., and new rubber vulcanizing agent;
4. Wear-resistant materials: Diamond grinding wheels, heavy-duty grinding wheels, brake pads, high-temperature bearing adhesives, magnetic materials, etc.;
5. Other areas: Oil-free lubrication in mechanical equipment for fertilizer production (synthetic ammonia), static and dynamic sealing materials, and many other high-tech fields.
